TransUnion and Edgar, Dunn & Company announced initial findings from the PaymentDynamics 2007 Preferred Payments Study on consumer payment preferences, attitudes and behavior. While employers report a strong hiring year for graduates, Experience Inc.’s fifth annual College Graduate Career Survey reveals that less than a quarter of student respondents have received full-time job offers, leaving more than half of them in competition for the best entry-level jobs. Labor productivity - defined as output per hour - rose in 2005 in 88 percent of the manufacturing industries studied by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, U.S. Department of Labor. Output (the production of manufactured goods) rose in 83 percent of the industries, while hours fell in 65 percent of the industries. Unit labor costs declined in 69 percent of manufacturing industries.
