Is Cyber Monday gaining steam? According to a recent Maritz(R) Poll, 26 percent of respondents will shop on Cyber Monday, up from 20 percent in the 2007 Maritz Holiday Shopping Poll. The poll also revealed that 41 percent of respondents will shop on Black Friday, slightly higher than the 37 percent that said they were going to shop on the same day in 2007.

Latin America is all set to make a splash in the global biofuels market, thanks to its inherent advantages of land availability, technological developments, agricultural knowledge, and low labor costs. Frank N. Magid Associates' recent study of high-definition television set owners reveals that fewer first-time HDTV set buyers are arranging for high-definition program service from cable and satellite providers than ever before. Among the 12 percent of U.S. households who purchased a new high-definition television in the past year, 41 percent still need to arrange for high-definition program service from a cable or satellite provider, compared to as many as 80 percent with HD service among those who have owned their sets for several years.
